cirQED® RA Now characterizes output performance vs ANGLE, TIME and FFT Spectral Components cirQED® Rotation Analyzer is a PC-based instrument
installed and run as a COM Add-in under Microsoft® Excel, which
simplifies data acquisition and processing and greatly extends the
functionality of the instrument. cirQED® RA acquires representative
data and evaluates and characterizes device performance in terms of
test device output versus displacement angle or discrete angular step,
output signal versus time, and frequency components/structure revealed
by FFT analysis of the output. Generally, a test sensor is attached
"directly" to the cirQED® RA system with a signal cable
and shaft coupler. The performance of other types of rotary devices
can be analyzed "indirectly" in cirQED® RA by coupling
its shaft to a rotary sensor that is "directly" attached
by cable. cirQED® RA hardware and software features form a convenient, powerful PC-Based Tool capable of facile interface with a wide variety of rotary sensors and rotary devices. cirQED® RA is the instrument of choice for analysis of popular rotary sensors, including HallPot® Angle Sensors, Sin-Cos HallPot® Resolvers, and Resistor-Based Potentiometers. cirQED® can also be applied with sensors that require special external amplifiers, such as RVDT's. Third-Party R&D offers application assistance where needed. All of the various cirQED® RA subassemblies are integrated into and/or onto one small sturdy enclosure, which simplifies sensor testing and also minimizes the amount of office or lab space that's used. The acquisition of performance data directly onto an Excel spreadsheet permits speed and convenience in carrying out routine characteristic performance tests on manufactured or purchased rotary sensor products as part of quality assurance and quality control. The large number of instrument controls and features that are directly accessible, can in certain cases be configured to extract specific diagnostic information about critical design components of a sensor (e.g., misaligned or sticky internal bearings) as well as providing routine performance data. cirQED® RA also offers advantages for engineering R&D where it helps significantly speed development and testing of useful models of sensor behavior and the software macros needed for signal processing. Additionally, cirQED® RA can provide timely, objective, representative performance data to permit making definitive sensor purchasing decisions. |
